Founded in 2002, Lakeview Senior Housing offers sixteen safe, worry-free apartments that can accommodate those looking for independent housing as well as individuals looking for 24 hour care. We offer a range of health and wellness services to seniors in Balaton and the surrounding area, with the added benefit of overlooking beautiful Lake Yankton.

We provide maintenance-free living. Enjoy visiting with neighbors on the patio or in other common areas, or participate in daily activities. We take pride in encouraging seniors to maintain prior lifestyles and areas of interest. Tenant activities are held at Lakeview and within the community, including Weekly 500, Sunday church services, pontoon rides in the summer as well as monthly "Happy Hour" and "Community Coffee". 

Our desire is to create a warm welcoming atmosphere where people can be as independent as they want to be. Apartment choices are private studios or one or two-bedroom apartments. Each apartment features a walk-in shower, closet space, telephone hook-ups, and an emergency response system with staff available 24/7. We also offer a full range of health care and wellness services, customized to meet tenants' unique needs.

Throughout its 3 year history of serving the community, Lakeview has placed a strong emphasis on ensuring that the individual needs of every resident are met. Over the course of 2016, a sampling of Lakeview’s customers and their families have participated in monthly telephone interviews that include open-ended questions, as well the opportunity to rate Lakeview in specific categories.

Every month, Lakeview has gathered its real-time survey results in order to gain a better understanding of the resident’s needs and make improvements when necessary. 

By qualifying for the Pinnacle Customer Experience Award™, Lakeview has satisfied the rigorous demand of scoring in the top 15% of the nation across a 12-month average. Clients have the opportunity to achieve this Best in Class distinction on a monthly basis in many categories designed to accurately reflect each resident’s experience.
